Police confirmed that the accident occurred at Number 42 Village. The injured persons were rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital. While the baby’s condition was listed as critical, the other occupants were conscious and stable.
A Citizen Reporter on the scene told Demerara Waves Online News that the Route 50 bus was travelling eastwards.
The reporter said the speeding bus ran off the road after one of its wheels punctured.
