Bandits rob North West District man of GUY$ millions

Gun-toting bandits slammed their boat into another vessel on the Baramani River, North West District (NWD) and robbed a man of GUY$4 million.

Police said that about 6:30 Thursday evening four men- one armed with a shotgun and another with a handgun- held up Rudolph Ashby,31, of Aruka River, North West District and robbed him of the cash.

“Investigations have so far revealed that Rudolph Ashby was in his boat in the Baramani River, NWD, enroute to his residence, when the men who were in a boat steered it into his boat causing damage to same.

The men then pointed their firearms at Ashby and robbed him of the cash and escaped,” police said in a statement.
