Carjackers arrested

Police on Saturday said they have arrested two carjackers who have been positively identified in a number of recent incidents.

“They are in police custody and will be charged shortly,” police said in a statement.

Investigators said after the men were arrested on Friday, July 3, 2015, they were “positively identified as the perpetrators of two of the robberies, involving the use of firearms, and an attempted robbery involving the use of knives.”

The two men have been identified as having allegedly robbed Taxi Driver Carlos Pollydore of his motor car on July 03, 2015, at “C” Field, Sophia, and Taxi Driver Shabeer Mohamed of his motor vehicle on May 29, 2015, at Cumming Lodge, ECDD.

They have been also accused of  attempting to rob Ryan Marks at “C” Field, Sophia, on July 01, 2015, while armed with knives.
