A fire aboard the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Liza Unity has forced the suspension of the offloading of a lift of an estimated 1 million barrels of crude, a well-placed source said.
No one was injured.
The source said the incident at the laundromat aboard the vessel was eventually controlled by emergency responders.
ExxonMobil representatives in Guyana did not immediately comment. A statement was expected later in the day.
