Investigations are being conducted into a fatal accident that occurred at about 2230h. last night Tuesday April 28, 2015, at Montrose Public Road, ECD, and which resulted in the death of Arif Williams, 22 years, of Triumph, ECD.
Investigations have revealed that Arif Williams was driving a motor car, allegedly at a fast rate, when he reportedly swerved from a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road and the vehicle toppled.
The vehicle struck the guard hut of a residence resulting in injuries to security guard Mahendranauth Krishram, 52 years, of Atlantic Gardens, ECD.
Arif Williams and Ashley Singh 19 years, of LBI, ECD, who was in the vehicle, received injuries and were taken to the GPHC where Arif Williams was pronounced DOA.
Ashley Singh, has been admitted to hospital while Mahendranauth Krishram was treated and sent away.
