Digicel assist in dealing with autism, other neurological disorders

Delivering on its promise to match their ALS Ice Bucket Challenge donation to a local charity, Digicel on Friday October handed over a cheque to the Step by Step Foundation in support of caring for children with autism.

The step by step Foundation is committed to providing a range of clinical and consultative services to children with autism and other neurological disorders and their families. Their goal is to help each child reach their fullest potential. “This donation is very timely since we have been planning on doing some very important maintenance work in and around the school, this something that we would like other corporate entities to follow suit. Thank you Digicel” noted Ms. Ramona Rahat, administrator.

“We decided on matching the ALS donation to the Step by Step Foundation because, like ALS, Autism is a neurological condition and making this donation is a step that cements our commitment to the Foundation and the fight against autism”mentioned Vidya Sanichara, Communications Manager at the simple handing over ceremony.

Digicel has been supporting the Step by Step foundation contributing annually to the foundations’ cause year and is a major donor of this foundation.
