Residents said one of the four persons sustained spinal injuries and another’s leg was broken. The condition of the others was not immediately known.
An officer of the Essequibo branch of the Institute of Private Enterprise Development, Rodwell Spellen , was said to be in a serious condition. He was the only one identified. They were rushed to the Suddie Hospital.
One eyewitness said three persons were travelling in one of the vehicles.
Details about the circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately available.
