Woman charged with murder of ex husband

A woman, who allegedly paid a man to kill her ex husband, was Monday arraigned on a charge of murder.

She is 46-year old Beverley Persaud of 56 Diamond New Scheme, East Bank Demerara.

Appearing before City Magistrate, Ann Mc Lennan, the woman appeared calm.

She was remanded to prison until October 3, 2015.

She is accused of the murder if Nathan Andrew Persaud on September 10, 2015 at Herstelling, East Bank Demerara.

Facts are that pursuant to an arrangement whereby money was

promised by her to someone only known as Jason, as consideration for Jason causing the death of deceased.

The woman was unrepresented and nine of her family members or relatives was in court.
