Essequibo Coast businessman shot, robbed

A businessman of Henrietta Village,  Essequibo Coast was shot and injured during an armed robbery at his shop, police said.

Nursing a gunshot injury to his left foot is 47-year old Mark Warner. He has been admitted to the Suddie Hospital.

Investigators were told that at about 11 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2015 he was held at gunpoint by three men, one of whom was armed with a gun.

The perpetrators took away GUY$150,000 during which Mark Warner was assaulted and shot to his left foot.
