Caribbean Community (CARICOM) leaders have agreed to include several categories of aviation industry personnel to the list of those eligible to live and work freely in the regional single market, CARICOM Chairman Dr Terrance Drew said Friday.
Dr Drew, who is also St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister, told a news conference to mark the 50th mid-term summit that “Heads of Government approved recommendations for the inclusion of approved categories of aviation personnel, aircraft maintenance engineers, professional pilots, air traffic controllers, flight operations officers, and the additional professions in the category of aviation personnel.”
Meanwhile, the CARICOM Chairman said Barbados, Belize, Dominica, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines reported that they were continuing to “strengthen the necessary administrative, legislative, and institutional frameworks identified”.
Those countries on October 1, 2025 successfully implemented full free movement among themselves.
