The main opposition We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) has so far paid US$250,000 to an American firm to lobby the United States (US) government and business community, according to filings with the US Justice Department.

The name of the entity is the Wyoming-based LGS LLC and the filing was dated 24th February, 2026.

“The Registrant will advise the Foreign Principal in developing and cultivating its relationships within the United States government and private sector,” states the document about the duties of lobbyists President Stephen Payne and Vice President Logan Somera who both live in Houston, Texas.

Mr Payne is a former aide to then US President George W. Bush, and he and Mr Somera are well connected to the energy sector in Texas.

The document states that the US$250,000 is advance payment. The task will include the preparation or dissemination of informational material in the form of memoranda and other documents to legislators.

However, no budget has been established or specified sum of money allocated to finance the registrant’s activities in preparing or disseminating those materials.

LGS says in that filing that no individuals or organizations, including public relations firms or publicity agents, will participate in the preparation or dissemination of informational material.
