Teen remanded for drug trafficking

An 18-year old years old man before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore on Wednesday on a charge of drug trafficking in narcotics.

Mark Gravesande of 436 New Parfaite Harmonie pleaded not guilty to having 793 grams of cannabis sativa on May 8, 2017 at Lombard and Hadfield Streets, Georgetown

Police Prosecutor Simone Payne objected to bail being granted based on the nature, seriousness, penalty and gravity of the charge.

Payne also added that the police file is incomplete.

Bail was refused and  Gravesande was remanded until May 31.
