A man from the North West District, who allegedly set his neighbourâs house on fire, was on Wednesday granted bail in the sum of $50,000.
The allegation against Lester Harris is that on October 16, 2016, Kumaka, Moruca, North West District, he maliciously set fire to the dwelling house of Jillian Cornelius.
The tractor driver pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan, who ordered him to pay the bail sum.
The matter has been transferred to a District Magistrates Court for January 3, 2017.
