A man received a one year sentence on Wednesday after pleading guilty to breaking and entering and larceny.
According to the facts presented at Court One of the Georgetown Magistrates Court, the owner of El Dorado Trading in Kingston, Georgetown secured his premises on the evening of September 22 and returned the following day to find some of his items stolen.
The matter was reported and a security footage showed the defendant, Milton Smith entering and stealing two trolleys, worth $60,000; two suitcases worth $30,000; and one helmet valued at $5000.
Smith was later tracked down and arrested for the $95,000 total steal.
