Police Constable dies after jumping from moving vehicle

A Police Constable attached to rhe Whim Police station died early Thursday morning after his jump from a moving vehicle did not go as planned.

According to a police statement. Constable Ray Simon was hitching a ride on a vehicle on his way to the Police station.

However, after the vehicle failed to stop at the station to let him off, he jumped and tragedy struck.

 
After Simon jumped from the vehicle he  lost his balance and fell on the roadway.

After his body hit the asphalt road, the rear end of the moving vehicle ran over him resulting in his death.
 
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Port Mourant Hospital.
