Murder accused escapes from New Amsterdam Prison

Police were Tuesday night still hunting for a murder accused who escaped from the New Amsterdam Prison, police said.

He has been identified as 25-year old Jagmohan Neshan of Belvedere Squatting Area, Corentyne, Berbice. He escaped from the prison on December 28, 2015.

Police said he was a remanded prisoner and was charged for the Murder of Devindra Deodath which occurred on October 07, 2013.
