New York law firm selected to represent Guyanese American 50th Anniversary Commemoration Committee

Rozario and Associates, P.C., a New York City based law firm announced that managing attorney and founder, Rovin R. Rozario, has been selected as General Counsel to the Guyanese American 50th Anniversary Commemoration Committee.

The Republic of Guyana will celebrate its 50th Independence Anniversary from England next year, May 26, 2016. The celebration is scheduled to take place in New York City from June 4th through June 12th, 2016, subsequent to the festivities in Guyana. Guyana’s President, H.E. David Granger, Prime Minister H.E. Moses Ngamootoo and other government Ministers and officials of Guyana will be Guests of Honor at the various commemorative events in New York City.

As General Counsel, Mr. Rozario will oversee specific legal, organizational and business issues surrounding the work to be performed by the committee. The committee envisions “Guyana Gives Back – A day of Volunteerism” to be a day when Guyanese professionals can give back to their local communities through volunteering their professional services.

“It is an honor and source of pride to be selected as general counsel for such an historic event and a prestigious organization. Guyana’s 50th Anniversary comes on the heels of Venezuela’s incursion into our country’s sovereign territory, an international issue that this organization will continue to highlight and inform the public at large” said Mr. Rozario.
