At about 2035h. last night Wednesday August 26, 2015, two men armed with firearms held up two female cashiers at the Popeye’s Restaurant, Vlissengen Road, Georgetown, and took away a total of $212,000.00.
During their escape, the perpetrators damaged a glass door to the building and discharged shots. Ian Jupiter 27 years, of Campbellville Housing Scheme who was in the vicinity was struck to his right foot and was treated at the GPHC.
The men escaped on motor cycles driven by two accomplices.
Investigations are in progress.
