Eight arrested for cocaine, ganja busts

At about 2030h. last night Friday August 21, 2015, ranks of the Police Narcotics Branch arrested two female Guyanese passengers who were on an outgoing flight at the Ogle International Airport after 1 kilogram 372 grams and 976 grams of cocaine, respectively, were found in their possession.

They are in police custody assisting with the investigations.

And at about 0100h. today Saturday August 22, 2015, ranks of a police mobile patrol conducted a search on a mini-bus at Rosignol, Berbice, during which 1 kilogram 510 grams of marijuana were found.

Six men have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
