Five supporters of the People’s Progressive Party Civic, who attended an elections campaign rally in Rupununi, were injured in an accident, multiple sources confirmed.
They were rushed to the Lethem Hospital in a minibus. Among the occupants of the pick-up was the driver, Sucil Kissoon.
Regional Health Officer, Joseph Torres told Demerara Waves Online News that three persons were kept overnight for observation and two others were treated and sent away. He said Kissoon did not go to the hospital for treatment.
