Linden couple robbed; man locked in car trunk while woman is raped

A couple was robbed and the man locked in a car trunk while the woman was raped in the vehicle, according to police.

Police said that after the incident, the three perpetrators escaped in bushes aback Amelia’s Ward, Linden.

Police said that the incident occurred at about 11:05 Friday night aback Amelia’s Ward when three men armed with handguns robbed the man and the woman.

Although police released the names of the victims, their names would not be published because the Sexual Offences Act bars the media from disclosing information that could lead to the identity of a sexually assaulted victim.

Investigators said that the bandits robbed the 32-year old man of Amelia’ Ward of one cell phone valued GUY$7,000.00 and $1,200.00 cash. The 20-year old woan of Canvas City, Wismar was robbed of one Blackberry cell phone valued GUY$42,000.00 and gold jewellery.

Police said the man and woman were approached by the men who relieved them of the articles mentioned.
