A well-known Port Kaituma businessman was Thursday in a serious condition after his close male companion allegedly stabbed him several times.
The businessman shortly before 5 PM Thursday left by plane for the Georgetown Public Hospital for surgery and care.
Demerara Waves Online News was told that the alleged perpetrator has been arrested and was assisting police with their investigations.
Sources said that the businessman wounded his companion’s head after he saw him Wednesday night in the company of two females. His companion later retaliated by stabbing the businessman to his abdomen and buttocks.
The businessman rents rooms on a long-term basis and he has his companion sells food and beverages.
