Police Commissioner, Seelall Persaud told Demerara Waves Online News that the youth’s body was found some two miles from where his vehicle was discovered on Thursday.
Someone, who visited the scene, said the body was swollen, a sign that the teenager was killed on Wednesday.
Family members had said that Latchman, who worked as a part-time taxi driver, left his home village of Lusignan, ECD for Parika with two passengers on Wednesday and was not seen nor heard from again.
Two persons have so far been taken into police custody.
