Two persons were arrested Wednesday in connection with the discovery of pistol and ammunition at Vergenoegen, East Bank Essequibo, police said.
A Guyana Police Force spokesman said that about 10 AM, police went to a home at Stelling Road, Vergenoegen, and conducted a search during which an unlicensed .32 Taurus pistol along with two magazines and two matching rounds were found.
A man and a woman were arrested and are in custody assisting with the investigations.
