BREAKING NEWS: Woman found dead with head in bucket; husband held

A 25-year old mother of three, was found dead in the wee hours of Tuesday morning in a crouched position with her head in a bucket of water at her Lot 34, Friendship, East Bank Demerara home.

Her reputed husband of nine years has since been taken into police custody.

Persaud’s father,Orin Morris, believes his daughter was murdered.

He told the media that he was in his bed around 2 AM when he was awaken by his son in law who said that his daughter was dead.

He said when he returned he saw his daughter by the back step with her head in the bucket.

Meanwhile, police sources say that Persaud’s husband came home after imbibing and the two were involved in an altercation.

The woman leaves to mourn her three daughters.
