Mahaica man shot dead in Konawaruk

Police were up to Wednesday afternoon searching for a suspect in connection with the shooting death of a Mahaica man in Konawaruk during an argument.

The dead man’s identity has been given 30-year old Devon Anderson of Jonestown, Mahaica.

He was killed about 7 AM Tuesday at Blackwater Landing, Konawaruk, Potaro.

Investigators said Anderson and another man were involved in an argument during which he was shot and killed.

The suspect has not yet been arrested. Anderson’s body was taken to the Mahdia Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy.
