Pomeroon man killed in accident

At about 1330h. today Monday June 02, 2014, Paul Gonsalves, 21 years, of Pomeroon, Essequibo was in a motor vehicle travelling along the Public Road at Greenwich, WCD, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a utility pole.

Paul Gonsalves received injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Leonora Cottage Hospital. Another passenger, Gillian Raphael, 23 years, of Pomeroon, also received injuries and has been admitted to the Leonora Cottage Hospital.

The driver of the vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
