Guyanese wanted for Trinidad airport drug bust

Guyanese anti-drug agents are looking for two men who they believe can assist them and their Trinidadian counterparts in probing the discovery of a large quantity of cocaine in agricultural produce.

Sources said 4.5 kilogrammes of cocaine were intercepted by Trinidadian authorities at the Piarco International Airport on May 29, 2014. The narcotic was concealed in a shipment of raw pepper and ochro in a carton.

The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit (CANU) has issued wanted bulletins for 30-year old Caleb Habeed Caesar of 130 Garnett Street, Newtown, Georgetown, and 37-year old CANU caesarof 60 Guyhoc Gardens, Georgetown.

Authorities said the drug was en route to the United States (US) from Guyana aboard a Caribbean Airlines flight.
