Two dead, several injured in East Bank Demerara accident

Two persons were killed and five others were injured following an accident on the East Bank Demerara public road between two cars and a motorcycle.

Dead are 30-year old Dellon “Smally” Barthley of Grove, East Bank Demerara and DJ/Bartender, 23-year old Kurt Bascombe of 426 Grove Housing Scheme. 

Delon’s friend, Marvin Small of Diamond Housing Scheme, was transferred from the Diamond Hospital to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for additional emergency treatment and care. They were going to Linden for Town Day when their Raum collided with another Raum.

A motorcyclist was hit by one of the Raums but his injuries were not life threatening.

Those injured in the other vehicle are Zania Azeem, Fizal Azeem,
Hamwattie Majeed and Fiad Azeem.
