A sales representative attached to Patsan Trading was Thursday afternoon shot dead by bandits who grabbed a bag containing an undisclosed sum of cash.
The dead man has been identified as Bharrat Ramjattan, of Enterprise, East Coast Demerara.
Police said they arrested one man in connection with the incident that occurred about 2:40 PM at Patsan Trading, John Smith and Sheriff Streets, Campbelville.
Well-placed sources said Ramjattan was attacked by two men on a CG motorcycle shortly after he exited a vehicle.
“Ramjattan was shot to his back by the armed man and the perpetrators took away a bag with an undisclosed sum of cash and escaped on a motor cycle,” police said in a statement.
