Taxi driver gunned down in car

A taxi driver was Friday night gunned down in his car on the Strathspey Railway Embankment, East Coast Demerara.

Police identified the victim as 24-year old Roopchan “Dave” Darsan of Logwood, Enmore, East Coast Demerara.

Investigators said his body was found in his car about 10:50 PM “with a suspected gunshot wound to the head”.

Police did not say if anyone was arrested but that investigations were continuing.
