Wife in custody for man’s death

A 42-year old man was fatally injured early Friday morning at Westminster in the Parfait Harmonie area and police have arrested his wife and daughter in connection with his death.

Dead is Dennis Harris Jr, of West Minister, Parfait Harmonie, West Bank Demerara.

Reports are that around 3 am this morning , the man and his wife had a confrontation following which the two scuffled.It was during this time that the man sustained several  stab wounds about his body.

The man was subsequently rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital at Vreed-en-Hoop where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving there.

Relatives told DemWaves today that the man’s wife and daughter, whom she bore from a previous union, were taken into custody by the police soon after the incident. It was reported that the man’s partner related to the lawmen that the man had fallen on a glass cabinet , and sustained several cuts thereafter.

Relatives however, are disputing the woman’s claims. Police are investigating the incident.
