Two miners die in ATV-truck collision

At least two persons were killed in an accident at Falls Top, North West District where an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) collided with a truck, well-placed sources said.

The bodies of the ATV driver, Kana, and the passenger, Cougar, were up to late Tuesday night being transported to a mortuary at Port Kaituma.

Demerara Waves was told that police at all check-points were on the look out for the truck that fled the scene of the accident.

More than 100 persons were outside the mortuary to get a glimpse of the body of the two only known by their aliases. They were employed by Elroy Peters.
