Six arrested; gun, ammo seized during robbery probe

Six men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery committed on a Linden businessman at his last month, police said.

The Guyana Police Force said they also seized an unlicensed 12 gauge shotgun along with three cartridges, a bulletproof vest, and some of the jewellery and a cell phone.

The probe stemmed from an armed robbery committed on Devanand Ramdial on January 31, 2014, at his residence at South Amelia’s Ward, Linden.

The arrests and seizures were made between Saturday February 1 and Sunday February 2, 2013.
 
The men are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
