Gold miner seriously injured in pit cave-in

A mining pit collapsed Friday at Saint Elizabeth in Region Eight, critically injuring one miner.  

James Henry,43, was late Friday night air-dashed to the city for emergency medical attention. He sustained injuries to his spine and lower back, according to well-placed sources. 

Unconfirmed reports are that the man had been covered in the pit for at least 15 minutes.
