A man who allegedly stole a number of items from the Roman Catholic Church was Thursday arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering with larceny.

Push cart vendor Richard Ramcharan of 205 Field ā€˜Dā€™ Sophia pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

He was refused bail and ordered to return to court on December 19.

Police alleged that Ramcharan stole a quantity of items and other valuables totalling GUY$895,000. The items were stored in a bond on Croal Street that belongs to the church.
