15 schools to remain closed on Friday

The Ministry of Education on Thursday announced that 15 schools will remain closed tomorrow Friday, November 29, 2013.

That followed Wednesday’s severe flood due to incessant heavy rainfall Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Christ Church Secondary

The decision by the Ministry, to have the schools listed above remain closed, was made after checks by Ministry officials revealed that as a result of the very slow pace in the recession of the flood waters, no sanitation work could have commenced in order to make the schools habitable.

All other schools in Georgetown have been cleared for reopening tomorrow by the Ministry of Education.

The Ministry sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused.
