Bandits struck the Regent Street branch of Golyn and Sons household store, snatching an undisclosed sum of cash from the cashier.
She was taken to a hospital for injuries sustained when the bandits pushed her down.
The incident occurred about 10 AM at the branch located on Regent Street between Albert and Oronoque Streets.
The three men, armed with guns, escaped in a grey Toyota 212. No shots were fired.
When Demerara Waves Online News (www.demwaves.com) visited the scene, technicians were busy installing surveillance cameras.
An employee of Golyn and Sons denied that a business representative had just arrived from the bank when the incident occurred.
