A gold miner was Thursday afternoon beaten to death at Port Kaituma during an argument, police said.
A suspect has been arrested and could be charged shortly.
The dead man has been identified as 25-year old Wrenford Williams of Kamarang.
Investigators were told that around 5 O’clock Thursday afternoon, Williams was involved in an argument with a man at 10-Miles, Port Kaituma “during which he was struck about his body with a piece of metal.”
Williams was pronounced dead on arrival at the Port Kaituma Hospital.
