Gold miner dies in pit cave-in

A gold miner from Den Amstel, West Coast Demerara was killed Saturday afternoon when a mining pit caved in, police said. He has been identified as 33-year old Seckou Adams. The incident occurred at Warrenbu, North West District. Adams’ body was at the Port Kaituma Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy, as investigations continue.
