A New York-bound barber was Friday night hoping to cut a deal to get him out of hot water concerning the alleged discovery of 12 kilogrammes of cocaine in his bag at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
Head of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU), James Singh said the 33-year old man is from Canje, Berbice.
Investigators have so far found the12.2 kilos of cocaine in powdered milk and the false wall of his suitcase.
At the time of the seizure and arrest, Singh said the man was preparing to board a Dynamic Airways flight to the United States (US).
