One Communications Wednesday afternoon suffered a major disruption to its mobile data and fibre internet services due to a problem with subsea infrastructure, the company said.
In an advisory, the telecoms company did not say what the problem was with the “subsea cable infrastructure’ that led to the “major disruption” of its services.
One Communications said “mobile voice calls remain available at this time.”
No timeframe was given when services would be restored.
“Our technical teams are actively working to restore affected services as quickly as possible,” the company states.
One Communications apologised for the inconvenience and said it appreciated “your patience”.
Further updates will be shared as they become available, the telecoms provider said.
MMG and top-up services were also affected at a number of locations.
