“Demon” wanted for  arms, ammo cache at city wharf

Police on Sunday issued a wanted bulletin for a man in connection with the importation of a large quantity of arms and ammunition last week, according to sources.

He has been identified as Mark “Demon” Cromwell.

He is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to a matter of Possession of Firearms and Ammunition that is under investigation.

Police sources confirmed that Cromwell and a man already arrested for the arms cache are related.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Mark Crumwell called ‘Demon’ is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 229-2557, 225-8196, 911 or the nearest police station.

All information will be treated with strict confidence.

Customs Officers last Friday seized two AK 47 Rifles, four  .40 pistols, eleven 9mm. pistols, fifteen extra magazines for the firearms, 489 various caliber rounds for the firearms and a body protection vest.

The detainee, who is unemployed, is said to be a resident of the lower East Coast Demerara.
