A 22-year old vendor and a 21-year old construction worker-both from Barnwell North, Mocha, East Bank Demerara-are prime suspects in the an armed robbery and break-and-enter and larceny, police said Saturday.
They are accused of committing the armed robbery on a Chinese Supermarket at Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara, and break-and-enter-and-larceny committed on a dwelling house at Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
Both offences were allegedly committed on April 6, police said in a statement, ”
The Police Force said both suspects were escorted to the Providence Police Station, where they were interviewed and subsequently placed into custody. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage was obtained and reviewed from both scenes, which aided in the investigation.
The two suspects remain in custody assisting with investigations.
