A 48-year-old unemployed man on Wednesday pleaded guilty to break-and-enter and larceny from the Ministry of Home Affairs and four other places, the Guyana Police Force said.
Police said Neil “Shoulders” Medas of no fixed place of abode was charged with five counts of break-and-enter and larceny, allegedly committed on Monday December 8, 2025.
Police said Mr Medas pleaded guilty to all of the offences and was remanded to prison.
The matters were adjourned to January 7, 2026, police said.
The accused had also burgled the Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre on Carmichael Street, Georgetown and three individuals.
A police spokeswoman said the others did not include the offices of the Guyana Human Rights Association/Policy Forum Guyana.
