Nursing assistant surrenders to police for allegedly creating public mischief about Adriana Younge’s post-mortem

Last Updated on Friday, 9 May 2025, 18:06 by Writer

Ms Tianna Serena Lewis-King

The Ministry of Health Nursing Assistant, who police said falsely claimed that she had witnessed the post-mortem examination of Adriana Younge’s body, was charged with inciting terrorism.

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) said 23-year-old Tianna Serena Lewis-King of Better Hope, East Coast Demerara was not required to plead.

The prosecution objected to bail, and she was remanded to prison.

She has to return to court on May 30.

Ms Lewis-King was arrested on May 5, 2025 when she surrendered to police, in response to a bulletin that had stated that she was wanted for allegedly creating public mischief and attempting to pervert and obstruct the course of justice by claiming that she was present at the post-mortem examination and offering an opinion on what she had purportedly seen.

Police said their log book and video recording did not show that she was there. Health Minister Dr Frank Anthony also denied a claim in a recording by a woman that he had sent her to witness the post-mortem examination.

The GPF on Friday did not provide any details about what led to the terrorism charges against Ms Lewis-King.
