Last Updated on Tuesday, 13 January 2015, 0:41 by GxMedia

Patricia Sanasie and her husband, Deonarine

A woman, who was accused by her husband of plotting to kill him one year ago, was gunned down Monday night at Atlantic Gardens, East Coast Demerara.

She has been identified as Patricia Sanasie.  Hospital sources said she received at least four gunshots about her body.

Eyewitnesses said that the woman and her daughter had just returned from church.  Sanasie was about to open here gate when a lone gunman dressed in black emerged from a silver Raum and opened fire at her.

A high-ranking police officer said that a “preliminary report suggests that she was shot by a man who hugged her as soon as she got out of her car.”

Her husband, Deonarine “Ram” Sanasie, is said to be overseas.

He was shot on February 14, 2014 while drinking with several friends just off Light and Fourth Streets, Alberttown near his business place , Ram’s Auto Spares.

Patricia, at that time, had accused her husband of being mentally unstable. She had questioned why she would have wanted to kill her husband with who she had shared a 28 year old relationship.
