Grenada, Venezuela probe alleged kidnap of Grenadians

Last Updated on Monday, 3 November 2014, 21:53 by GxMedia

Grenadian police were up to Monday still working with their Venezuelan counterparts to probe an alleged kidnapping of five nationals of that Caribbean island.

A police spokesman said that so far investigators have not come up with any concrete leads about how the men vanished and what might be the motive.

A Grenada Police Force spokesman said that so far no ransom has been demanded since the men were allegedly kidnapped between October 15 and 27,2014.

Investigators do not know which sea-port the Grenadian men left the island from.

Asked whether the motive appeared to be drug-related, the spokesman said that sleuths were looking at all angles.
