Businesswoman killed; valuables carted off from home

An Albouystown-based businesswoman was found dead and tied up in her ransacked home early Sunday morning.

Police said a man has been arrested and he is assisting with the probe into the death of 65-year old Sumintra (only name given).

Her body was found in her home at Barr and Sussex Streets about 4:30 AM. “She was tied up and the house had been ransacked. Electronic equipment and a sum of cash have been reported missing,” said Police Force spokesman, Ivelaw Whittaker.
