“Kartel” loses hand in CBR smash-up

He is 24-year old Kevin “Kartel” Griffith of Stevedore Housing Scheme, Georgetown. Hospital sources said he was conscious and in no immediate danger. Surgery was expected to be performed late in the night into early Tuesday morning.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said the man’s severed limb ended up in the car. His bike was broken into pieces.

Griffith was riding in a westerly direction when he slammed into the car that was parked on Norton Street between Victor and Chapel Streets about 10 PM.
